CS3 Project Solutions Inc. (CS3) is a Civil Engineering and Project Management firm based in Nelson, B.C. Founded in 2021 to provide construction project management services, CS3 expanded in 2024 to offer civil engineering expertise—bringing together technical precision and local insight. We’re committed to delivering high-quality design solutions tailored to the unique needs of each client. Our personal approach ensures that every project reflects the client’s vision, goals, and values. We specialize in civil infrastructure projects, drawing on strong local ties in the Kootenays and wide-ranging experience across Western Canada. We offer a full suite of in-house services, including project management, assessment, design, drafting, construction administration, and inspections.

Cari Smit

P.Eng.

Cari brings over a decade of experience in Engineering and Project Management, developed through her work with leading consulting firms across Western Canada. Her expertise spans civil infrastructure, including bridges, culverts, foundations, and transportation systems, projects that shape communities and support long-term growth.

She is also certified in On-Site Sewerage Design (Septic Systems). Whether working with homeowners or developers, Cari delivers practical, thoughtful engineering solutions rooted in local context.

As a proud Kaslo native, she’s deeply committed to serving the region through professional, community-focused design.

Principal

Casey Smit

P.Eng., MBA, PMP

Casey brings a dynamic background in Project Management and Business Administration, with experience spanning major corporations, mid-size contractors, and startups. His career has focused on building efficient, scalable systems across all facets of corporate operations—including project management, human resources, safety, accounting, regulatory compliance, and quality management.

He has also managed construction projects from estimating through closeout, with contract values up to $10 million.

CS3 has a Permit to Practice with the Engineer and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC), is registered with WorkSafe BC, and carries both professional liability and general liability insurance.
